Today was mostly sunny with a light southwest breeze in the morning that calmed by afternoon, perfect for both tours. In the morning, near the Green buoy close to Hjalteyri, we enjoyed two friendly humpback whales that delighted everyone onboard. Later, we traveled near Grenivík, where three humpbacks awaited us, including our well-known friends Dissy and the legendary Bob, who was truly spectacular. A wonderful day at sea—let’s see what tomorrow brings!

We started the day with calm seas and a gentle southern breeze, later growing stronger, creating perfect conditions to head out in search of whales. This morning’s trip took us farther than usual, but it was worth it, we encountered six Humpback whales near Hrisey’s east coast. They delighted us with frequent tail displays, familiar individuals like Dissy, Bob, Piccolo, and their Eyjafjörður companions. Sadly, strengthening winds forced us to cancel the afternoon tours.
