Whale hello there!

Today was a very beautiful sunny morning filled with our beloved whales. Our first sighting was one very nice Minke whale around the Green buoy, altogether with some cheeky Harbour porpoises. The Humpback whales, however, were a little bit further. We sailed all the way to the South of Hauganes, where we could see at least 4 Humpback whales swimming around our boats and feeding happily in the sun.

During our afternoon tours, the wind magically disappeared, and we had a completely flat day. Our first stop was South of Hjalteyri, where we found a very relaxed Disy taking a couple of deep dives. We kept heading north, where we encountered a larger number of Humpback whales between Hauganes, Grenevik and Rauðavík. At least 7 humpback whales were there. Bob, White Fang, Piccolo, and Grey were the ones that came up closest to us, but there were definitely more Humpback Whales around, swimming towards us and even sometimes very close. But the cherry on top was when our beloved Piccolo decided to give us a set of two breaches, followed by at least five head lunges.
