My dear whale watchers, winter is coming… Today we sailed out of Akureyri on a real Viking adventure. Awavy and snowy fjord today, but since you know the whales don’t mind the weather, we went out on the adventure. Our Classic tour made its way all the way to Rauðavík, where they found 2 Humpback whales. And our Express tour sailed a little East to find 3 Humpback whales just S Grenevík. And probably those guys had been eating.. Because 2 of the Humpbacks were pooping around us. But you know what, whale poop is the most nutritious thing in the ocean!!
The snowy morning gave way to a beautiful afternoon with a winter landscape, but since the wind died completely, we were left with a mirror-like fjord to enjoy, accompanied by our friend Bob, the Humpback whale, and a group of very cute Harbour porpoises who decided to come extremely close to our boat. Altogether on the very South of Hjalteyri.
