A lot of wind today, but thankfully, we had warm winds and only a bit of swell.
By the green buoy, a minke whale greeted us with some nice and close encounters. As minke whales are shy, it’s always really nice when they come close to the boat and we get good encounters. We didn’t stay too long, as we knew some humpback whales might still be hanging around north of Hjalteryi. So we headed out there and were rewarded with nice encounters with two humpback whales, one of which was White Fang. Just before we had to start heading back, we got a really close-up encounter with White Fang, which could not have asked for a better goodbye fluke.
In the afternoon, we made our way to Rauðavík, where we found our lovely Disy swimming close by the White Fang. The two white taled Humpback whales stayed with us throughout the tour.
