Today was a fantastic day out on the water. The weather treated us kindly, with good conditions throughout the day. A moderate north wind kept things fresh, and by the afternoon the skies opened up, offering us bright views across the fjord.
Our sightings began with a few harbour porpoises near the surface, always a delight to see. The real highlight, however, came from the humpback whales. We encountered three individuals between the buoy and Hjalteyri, and later spotted two more in Raudavík.
These gentle giants gave us memorable moments—sometimes surfacing right in front of the boat and showing off their flukes as they dove. The close encounters and dramatic tail displays were a treat for everyone on board.
