Whale hello there! Today was a fluke of a day. Slightly choppy fjörd, together with some sun and clouds, gave us a very nice sailing day. On our way up north, our first sighting was a very cute Harbour seal that dove right next to us just N Strýtan. Followed by a Minke whale, S of Hjalteyri. But we kept sailing north, because we could spot some blows in the distance. We had the pleasure of meeting 2 new individuals calmly swimming E of Rauðavík. But who else appeared… Our sweet Disy appeared north of us, and with a fast pace, she ended up right next to us. Leaving us a count of 3 Humpback whale of the morning.

Knowing where our Humpies were during our afternoon tour, we headed straight north. Only to find five Humpback whales instead of three, but only one of them was remaining from the morning. Today, we have a count of 7 Humpback whales in the area of Raudavík. But Humpbacks are not the only thing we saw; also, a sneaky Minke whale was swimming in between every now and then.
