The morning started with rain that was pouring down, making everything soaked. But by the time the first tour started it stopped. The rest of the day was partly cloudy, partly sunny, with just a few showers of rain.

On the first tour of the day the came across a Humpback whale south of Hjalteryi. It was feeding in the same area for a long time so we turned off the engine, sat back and enjoyed. The Humpback seemed to start to wonder what we were doing because it suddenly came up right in front of the boat and started to spy hop next to us. Definitely checking us out. We also had an encounter with a Minke whale by the green buoy.

In the afternoon we made a stop by our social Humpback whale again, but we didn’t stay too long because we got word that there were several Humpback whales outside Hauganes. We headed out there and it was definitely true. More than seven Humpback whales were scattered around the area.
