The day was cloudy with a light wind from the north, but sea conditions remained calm and suitable for whale watching.
We explored east of Hrisey during both tours and encountered around seven feeding Humpback whales showing deep dives and social behavior. A Minke whale also appeared briefly in the morning.

Nice weather out there, in the harbour a bit of a south-eastern wind. Generally calm fjord. Will be the same throughout the day, wind might turned a bit during the afternoon and is supposed to get nearly windless later for our midnight departure.
2 Separated Humpbacks, Bob and Disy. Bob has been swimming close to Grenivík and Disy has been feeding North east of Hrísey.
Harbour Porpoises encountered bunch of times on the way.

Calm and cloudy morning, Disy (Humpback) North of green buoy and 6 Northern Bottlenose Whales South of it. Later in the afternoon, the wind has gradually picked up and we have been seeing Disy feeding in the same location.

Despite the wind, it was a fantastic day out on Eyjafjörður. We had some incredible sightings, starting with a Humpback whale near Hjalteyri. Later on, we encountered another Humpback north of Hrísey, where we were also treated to the sight of a lively pod of White-beaked dolphins moving gracefully through the waves.
In addition to the Humpbacks and dolphins, we spotted a Minke whale and a small group of Harbour porpoises.

2 Humpbacks swimming side by side south of Hjalteyri, morning a bit cloudy, now it got mostly sunny and nearly no wind, which makes life of a whale watcher quite nice.

1 Humpback whale South of Hrísey, 2 Minke whales one around Green Buoy. In the afternoon we went all the way north of Hrísey and came a cross a Humpback whale mum with her calf.

Despite the fog still hanging over the fjord we managed to have encounters with both Humpback Whales, Northern Bottlenose whales as well as Puffin birds.

The weather was similar to yesterday, foggy but with calm seas. Despite the low visibility, conditions allowed for sightings near the boats.
During the tours, we encountered two Humpback whales. One was seen north of Hjalteyri, while the other was Proppy, a familiar individual with distinctive dorsal fin scars. Proppy was spotted both in the morning and afternoon, first north and later south of the green buoy. She stayed in the area for a while, providing excellent viewing opportunities for our guests.

Sunny/foggy, absolutely magical atmosphere and we were looking at a Humpback Whale both morning and afternoon tours. Also a lot of puffins along the way, morning we were by Hjalteyri and later we sailed to Árskogssandur - southern parts of Hrísey island.

During our morning and afternoon tours near Hjalteyri, we observed a Humpback whale feeding and displaying behaviors like breaching, tail-slapping, and side-feeding. A synchronized group of Harbour porpoises was seen gracefully swimming on our return journey.
