We experienced a strong southerly wind the whole day, which meant we had to cancel all the rib tours but the classic tours managed to get out there. And good thing they did because we had amazing encounters with several whales.
In the morning we had at least six Humpback Whales north of Hjalteyri and they where doing multiple tail throws and tail slaps. In the afternoon they were still in the same area and this time around there were two whales that were swimming next to each other that came really close up to the boat, giving us incredible views and made you feel very close to nature.
