A Fantastic Morning and Truly Remarkable Tours Today

As the moon approaches its new moon phase, low clouds continue to linger, giving the landscape a mystical feel. These overcast mornings gradually clear as the day progresses, accompanied by a light breeze that becomes more noticeable over time.

With these calm conditions, we set course north toward the mouth of the fjord. The morning was beautiful, and we observed plenty of seabird activity, skuas chasing gulls for their food and fulmars gliding gracefully around us.

Just north of Hjalteyri, we found exactly what we were hoping for: two magnificent Humpback whales, swimming in perfect sync and calmly resting at the surface. It was a spectacular sight. One of them was Proppy, a well-known individual who has returned for another visit.

In the afternoon, the wind picked up slightly. We found the Proppy and his friend a bit further south this time swimming and feeding very close to each other! They might know each other from before or somehow be related…It is something that we have to find out…
