Cloudy, slightly windy day with a lot of action, 3 Humpback Whales East of Hjalteyri, 2 of them surface feeding side by side most of the day.

A bit rainy and windy but decent conditions otherwise. Jacob got all the action, David is jealous, whales are whaly and good-looking. Spotted 3-4 different Humpback Whales from Gásir to Hjalteyri in the later afternoon.

The day started very well with a glassy ocean and a beautiful sunny sky, we found two Humpback whales which we recognized on the afternoon tour too.

Another exceptional day here at the fjord! Several Humpback whales, Minke whale and Harbour porpoises making our day extra special. Not forgetting about the beautiful sailing weather.

Sailing in the windy fjord gave us an opportunity to see 3 Humpback whales in the morning and 3 Humpback whales in the afternoon. We even got to see some feeding, showing us the ventral plates!

A spectacular day at the fjord with 3 Humpack whales in the morning and 5 Humpback whales in the afternoon. We were also lucky to have witnessed two of them lunge feeding!

Another very warm day in Akureyri with many Humpback whales in the fjord. We saw many whale and we did not even have to go far!

We saw at least five Humpback Whales feeding near Hjalteyri! There was very interesting behaviors with 3 of them staying together, coordinating their deep dives. The sun was shinning and we had a lot of fun.

A magical day with a Minke Whale, a waving Humpback Whale and several flukes and close up encounters with Humpback Whales

The day sure gave us plenty of surprises. Including a lunge feeding Minke Whale, a sleeping Humpback Whale, a Humpback Whale waving it’s flipper at us, and four Humpback Whales visiting the shores of Akureyri, and one making it all the way down to the very end of the fjord.

Todays the gave as several encounters with very active Humpback Whales, moving in all different directions of the fjord. We also got to see one Humpback Whale do a tail throw, and one Humpback Whale made it’s way into the harbour, a did a lunge feed in front of the office.

Today’s tour was cancelled due to unfavorable weather conditions in the fjord.

We had sailed less then 15 minutes when we encountered at least five Humpback Whales just north of Svalbarðseyri. One Humpback Whale was even lunge feeding, putting its head out of the water. Another Humpback Whale was in the perfect position towards the sun, so it looked like it was spouting rainbows.

After a challenging morning because of the wind, we were able to sail at 14:00. We saw multiple species of whales, including, Humpbacks and Minke whales! A beautiful day with warm weather.

A beautiful day in the fjord with many Humpback whales around! The weather was great, and we got to enjoy the company of a lot of whales.

Today in the calm fjord near the green buoy, we witnessed several Humpback Whales feeding and diving gracefully—one even swam up close to observe us—as well as a seal and minke whale in the area.
