Summer seems to be here to stay because we had another beautiful day with sunshine, no wind and calm and glassy seas.

Just north of Hjalteyri we came across 4 Humpback Whales feeding by themselves and slowly moving around the fjord. They came close up to our boats giving us amazing encounters. As it was no wind at all you could here them come up for a breath even when they were far away.

On the way back we even came across a pod of 3 Harbour Porpoises playing close to shore.

During our afternoon tours the sun was still shining but the wind piked up wich was nice because it was starting to be a bit too warm fore Iceland. This time we had to sail a but further north, but it was worth it because we were lucky enough to observe 2 Humpback whales lunge feed at the same time, displaying their extended lower jaw. But they were not the only ones within Rauðavík we saw 3 Humpback whales. Leaving our count for the afternoon up to 5 Humpback whales total.

This was another magical day in the fjord.
