Another amazing day in Eyjafjörður! We had overall amazing weather conditions today, it was very sunny, very warm and further north in the fjord the wind picked up, creating smaller waves.
Nevertheless, we spotted seven Humpback Whales East of Hjalteyri! A real all you can eat seafood buffet for these whales. They were surfacing every 5-10min to take a few breath with their mouth full.

In the afternoon, we found the whales again close to Hjalteyri. Two of them were mostly swimming together, resurfacing close to each other at the same time and going for deep dives one after the other. We then saw a few more Humpback whales further away East from Hjalteyri. They were all looking for food and had quite interesting behaviors.
