Today was a real summer’s day in the fjord. We had sunshine and warm winds.

In the morning we came across a group of Humpback Whales by Hjalteyri. Three of the Humpback Whales were traveling together, all coming up and diving down at the same time. We had more Humpback Whales scattered all around us and some of them came real close to the boat, giving us multiple beautiful encounters.

In the afternoon the wind had picked up a bit and the Humpback Whales had moved further south, now south of Hjalteyri. They were moving slowly, some appeared to take some nice afternoon naps, and then showing their flukes before diving down.
