Humpback whales and white-beaked dolphins NE Hrisey,

We saw the humpback whale Bob southeast of Hrísey in the morning and near Gljáni in the afternoon. In the evening, we had a fantastic encounter with a playful pod of white-beaked dolphins in Eyjafjörður.

One Humpback whale -Umbrella-, 2 Minke whale and Harbour porpoises

Today we spotted our familiar humpback whale, Umbrela, first in the northern area and later again near Hjalteyri and Hauganes, where she was actively feeding. On our way back, we also encountered two minke whales and several harbour porpoises, making it a wonderful day full of wildlife.

Sunny but very windy day in the fjord! We spotted 2 Humpback whales and one Minke whale south of the town of Hjalteyri.

Humpback Bob, porpoises and minkes in the fjord today!

Morning: We spotted two minke whales north of Svalbarðseyri and near Hjalteyri, followed by two humpback whales near Grenivík and Gísláín, one of which surfaced very close to the boat.

Afternoon: East of Hrísey, we encountered a friendly humpback whale that approached the boat several times and delighted us with exceptional close-up views.

Today we have seen one Humpback whale, minke whales and harbour porpoises.

We sailed north of Hjalteyri, where we encountered several Humpback Whales throughout the tour. One whale came very close to the boat multiple times, giving us excellent views of its impressive fluke and beautiful surfacing behaviour. On our way back to the harbour, we were also lucky enough to spot a small group of Harbour Porpoises.
