The morning was very warm, and none of the guests aboard our boat Ambassador needed to wear an overall. At first, it was a little cloudy, but soon the sun came out, and with the sea completely calm, we had perfect conditions for whale watching. After some time of sailing, we spotted a Humpback whale near the town of Hauganes. After its first fluke dive, we were able to identify it as our well-known friend: Bob! We were able to see it many times fluking, even quite close to the boat! From our speed boats, we also saw a minke whale, feeding in the same area and a lot of birds’ feeding action as well! On our way back we also passed a small pod of harbor porpoises in front of Hjalteryi. On our mid-day tours, we were super lucky to see one of the minke whales fully breaching multiple times!

During the evening tours we encountered 1 Humpback whale feeding E of Hauganes, a Minke whale by Arnarnesvík. But we got a very nice surprise when on the way back we also found a pair of Humpbac whales by Svalbarðseyri.
