We had pouring rain, but superb flat sea in the fjord today, which made (still) great conditions for whale watching. We spotted a pod of harbour porpoises, and as the sea was so calm, we had really nice view of them. After that, we found one humpback quite close, just at the green buoy. It was our well known humpback called Popeye. She came super close to our RIB boat few times! We put our engines in neutral and were fully enjoying just the sounds of rain, whale’s breathing and smooth sliding of it’s body and beautiful tail below the sea surface. Our bigger boat went further north and around Trektini area found another humpback whale.
We also had very active pod of harbor porpises today, just SE of green buoy. They were even jumping/tail trowing above the surface, followed by big splashes!
