Good morning from a mystical, foggy Akureyri.

We thought the fjord was going to be covered in dense fog, as it has been before, but just outside Akureyri there was no fog and, it was actually very sunny and not windy at all.

It didn’t take us long to find our first humpback whale, which quickly became two humpbacks and finally up to three! We found them northwest of the green buoy. Two of the three humpies were Popeye and Tripod. We waited for them, and they surfaced many times very close to us. Such a great morning!

In the afternoon, the sun was shining in Akureyri too, and we found two humpbacks in the same place, just about 40 minutes sailing from the harbour.
