Another day with beautiful calm sea conditions in the fjord! The morning started with a drizzle of rain, but it stopped already during our first tour. We were barely noticing it, as we were enjoying amazing close encounters with majestic humpback whales! We found them just south of Hjalteyri. First one, named Morrigan, then another, named Tripod - both our known whales, and then a third one swam straight toward us! We also spotted the blow of a 4th one, which went more north. We are so grateful they were all going for deep dives, so they were raising their flukes high above sea surface every time. The dives were also just 5-6 minutes and they were staying at the surface for quite a long time, resting, so we had amazingly good views and plenty of time to observe them and take pictures and videos!
