We had an amazing morning with low wind and a lot of Humpback whales around the green bouy.

The afternoon, the wind picked up but the whales were still close to Akureyri, between the green bouy and Svarbaldseyri. We stayed observing a pair of Humpbacks and even saw one breaching twice. It then started to do tail trowing til it was time for us to go back to port.

On our 17 o’ clock tour we reached north of Svarbaldseyri where two Humpback whales were breaching more than 40 times, we were just speachless by the amount of action! But we were not only lucky with the humpback whales today, we even had two Northern bottlenose whales in the area called Pollurin, which is just outside of the harbour of Akureyri!
