Hello everyone!

Today the rain was still with us, and the wind made a comeback as well. In the morning, we headed out with our two classic boats, Hólmasól and Konsul, as well as our RIB, Diplomat. Dressed in overalls, raincoats, and plenty of layers underneath, we set off in search of whales.

We spotted a humpback whale that we know from this winter, White Fang, near Strytan, the geothermal chimneys in Eyjafjörður. It’s such a unique place, and it’s fun to imagine that maybe the whales enjoy these natural hot spots just as much as Icelanders enjoy their thermal baths! White Fang was travelling north, but we had a great encounter and were lucky enough to see its tail up to three times.

In the afternoon, the rain finally stopped, but the sea became a little choppier. Unfortunately, our RIB didn't find any whales this time, even though the crew searched both sides of the fjord. However, our classic boats, Hólmasól and Konsul, spotted (4 whales far away maybe feeding maybe not I dont care, well yes I do care and I want to see orcas tomorrow because I deserve it haha)
