Today we had steady rain throughout the day, but we did not care because it was quite an epic day, the fjord was quite flat but with some long waves towards the end of the fjord. This is how far we had to go! But it was worth it. During our morning express tours we had a small pod of 6-7 White Beaked dolphins NE of Hrísey, but a bit further, N of Hrísey, we had the pleasure to find 4 Humpback whales feeding, and at least two of them were bubble net feeding. In the area of Lönguboða we also encountered a larger pod 15-20 White Beaked dolphins, jumping as high as they could. If the morning was not impressive enough, we went back to the same area during the afternoon tours, this time we had 3 Humpback whales also bubble net feeding every now and then South of Hrólfssker, and again a pod of 15-20 White beaked dolphins passed us by at full speed. But that was not it because shortly after N of Hrísey a pod of 7-8 Orcas appeared right in front of us leaving us speechless. But wait because the cherry on top was a Humpback whale who suddenly started breaching and pectoral fin slapping. Truly memorable.
