What a fantastic start to the day!
We headed out under bright sunshine, something that's always special in an Icelandic summer.
The whales took us all the way to the edge of Eyjafjörður today. It was a longer sail, but the stunning views of the fjord made the journey an adventure in itself.
At Hrólfssker Lighthouse, the last point before the open ocean, we were rewarded with a rare sighting of 6-8 White-beaked dolphins swimming right beside the lighthouse. It was an amazing moment in a very special place.
The highlight of the tour came shortly after, when we found 4 Humpback whales feeding together. We were lucky enough to watch spectacular bubblenet feeding, along with several powerful lunge feeds, as the whales burst through the surface. Seeing this behaviour is always unforgettable, and today was no exception.
An incredible morning with beautiful weather, rare dolphin sightings, and unforgettable whale encounters a perfect way to start the day.
