Hi everyone!

Today we sailed out under cloudy skies, but we still managed to catch some glimpses of two Humpback Whales ! Around 2:00 PM the sun came out, making for a beautiful ride through the fjord.

As we reached Hjalteyri, we spotted something surfacing in the water it was a minke whale! Minke whales can grow up to around 11 meters long and weigh as much as 9 tonnes. They are sometimes nicknamed the "stinky minke" because of their famously strong-smelling breath!

After spending some time watching our friendly minke whale surface a few times, we spotted something much smaller: harbour porpoises! These adorable little cetaceans are easy to recognize by their small, triangular dorsal fins. They came beautifully close to the boat, giving us a wonderful view, and we were even able to see their bodies as they swam through the clear water.

It was a fantastic afternoon on the fjord with some memorable wildlife encounters.

In the evening tour we went north of Hrólfssker light house, where we were very lucky to spot 2 Humpback whales and few groups of White beaked dolphins!
