Hello everyone! The sun decided to keep shining today, so with sunscreen at the ready, we headed out in search of whales.

Today, we had to travel all the way to Gljána and Hauganes, where we found two humpback whales. One of them is called Vaquita J. Lo, as it has a beautiful colour pattern on the dorsal side of its fluke that resembles a cow, while the ventral side looks as if it has J. Lo's signature. The other humpback doesn't have a name yet, but we're sure we'll come up with one very soon!

We spent some time with them before it was time to head back. On the return journey, one of our Classic Whale Watching boats also spotted a group of northern bottlenose whales. Spotting this species is all about being in the right place at the right time, as they spend only a very short time at the surface before diving for up to two hours!

Today's midnight tour was amazing! We spotted a humpback whale that didn't stay underwater for very long and came very close to us several times. The sunset light was absolutely beautiful.

On the way back, we were lucky enough to see two minke whales. We also noticed that the fjord was full of fish—we could even see them jumping at the surface.
