The morning started with strong winds, but the sun was shining, and during our tour we sailed north of Hjalteyri, where we spotted two humpback whales. One was swimming closer to shore, while the other was more active, showing us its fluke many times, even close to the boat! On the way back, we were even luckier when we spotted a minke whale near Svalbarðseyri.

In the afternoon, the sea was choppier, but we were still very fortunate to encounter a humpback whale in Arnarnesnafirður, the same active whale from the morning, once again showing its fluke repeatedly. On the way back, a minke whale surprised us near Svalbarðseyri.

During the 17:00 tour we found the Humpback actively feeding next to Raudavik surrounded by many birds. And to finish the day, during our midnight sun tour we spotted one Humpback again by Raudavik, while waiting for it to come back to the surface, we had the visit of some cute Harbour porpoises and on the way back, north of the town of Hjalteyri we could also see, briefly, a Minke whale.
