We started the morning on our 9 o’clock classic tour with glass-like seas, so we knew that if something was coming to take a breath at the surface we would have seen it. After some time sailing we finally reached the town of Hjalteyri, were we spotted our first minke whale; shortly after another one popped up in the same area of the first one! This two sightings were already very great, but we were even more lucky with a humpback whale close to Hrolfssker.
The humpback whale moved towards Hjalteyri in the afternoon and that’s where our afternoon were so lucky to spot it! It was moving very fast but also fluking a lot, we had the chance to see it from quite close.
