What an amazing day in the fjord today! The weather was perfect, with sunshine and a very calm sea.

We started the day by spotting a Minke whale near the green buoy. After watching it surface a few times, we continued sailing north in search of more whales. However, it wasn't long before we encountered another Minke whale. This time, everyone got to understand why they are sometimes known as "Stinky Minkes" haha! these guys sometimes is better appreciated from a distance.

After a while, we continued further north and found a Humpback whale near Rauðavík. From our larger boat, we were able to spend quite some time with this Humpback as it swam calmly close to us, allowing us to follow its movements even while it was just below the surface.

Our RIB boats were able to venture a bit farther and spotted a pod of White-beaked dolphins south of Hrísey, together with another Humpback whale. What an amazing sight! One of our RIB boats was blessed to see a smaller pod of Harbor porpoises, surfacing up very close to our boat and even surfing the waves behind us!

In the afternoon we travelled quite far, but NE of Hrísey, we found a Humpback whale, and because it was so sunny we could perfectly see the pectoral fins when the whale was shallow diving.

On our 20:30 classic tour we sailed under the midnight sun, which was making the landscapes even more magical! At the green buoy we were lucky enough to spot a minke whale, the sun was so low that it was making its blow very visible!
