The brightest of suns was shining on us. Although the wind was picking up and turning the fjord choppy, the sun was so nice and warm, we did not care. As we sailed off from Akureyri, we enjoyed the sun and the hundreds of different birds already filling our shores. We spotted in the distance a blow. As we followed id we arrived south of Hjalteyri where our friend Ryder, the Humpback whale, was waiting for us surfacing in the sun. Today, he was quite calm, coming close to the boat a few times, but always showing us his beautiful tail.
