Early in the morning we had a beautiful golden hour, which eventually was covered up by clouds, which rarely ever happens in this country. During our morning tours, the sea was calm, but later in the day wind picked up from the north. In fact, the wind picked up so much that our rib had to cancel unfortunately. The Icelandic met office really has to work on their forecasting.
Nevertheless, our sightings have been really very great on the tours that went out. In total we saw 4 Humpback Whales between Bakkaal and Hjalteyri. Some of them were surfacing close to us many times. There wasn’t much time for questions since the whales filled every little gap of time.
