Today, despite the rattling cold (-11 degrees Celsius), we had an amazing pink and blue sky with a massive full moon still hanging from it. Around the South of Svalbarðseyri, we encountered our dynamic duo of Humpback whales, Piccolo and Dobby, but shortly after these two were joined by 1 more Humpback, Elise. But in that moment, we had 2 simultaneous breaches from our couple, followed by Piccolo's head slapping. Simply breathtaking. After being with these three whales for a while, we headed north to try and find any other animals in the area, and indeed we did. Darcy, another Humpback whale that has been with us since before Christmas, started breaching in the distance as well and when we reached the are it still did a couple of tail throws and rolling with the pectoralfins.

A whale of a day!
