We started the day with -8 degrees Celsius and some light snow. But we had an amazingly flat fjord, which allowed us to spot some blows right away. By the town of Svalbarðseyri, we encountered a total of 7 Humpback whales. 3 of them were taking a little nap together on the surface (Piccolo, Dobby and Ryder). Whereas others like Darcy and Elise were constantly changing directions, looking for food, most likely. But today we also met a new friend. We encountered The white fang hanging out with a whale, whom we only saw for the first time on the 31st of December.
