Today was Fishermen's Day (Sjómannadagurinn), it is the first Sunday of June and in the morning we had a great weather for this celebration. In the afternoon, it became cloudy and started to rain, but the sun came out again shortly after

This morning we traveled quite far, near Dalvík, but it was well worth it, we arrived in an area where Humpback Whales were actively feeding. They were very lively, turning over and showing part of the tail and pectoral fins. We also spotted a few other species, although they were much more elusive than the Humpbacks.

In the afternoon, we went to the other side of Hrisey, to the East and found 3 Humpback whales actively feeding going up every 5 to 10min so we could enjoy them.

At our mid night tour we found 3 Humpback Whales close to Dalvik. First they were feeding but the started to give us the full show. 2 breached together and one kept on jumping, head slapping, pec slapping and tail throwing. I mean, what else can a Humpback do?
