Góðan og blessaðan daginn,
It is time to reveal what this day has brought to us so far. Weather-wise this morning we ventured into a calm fjord with a bit of sunshine, rain and when these two cooperate, the light diffracts on the water drops and guess what - a magical rainbow appears! Afternoon forecast doesn’t look so promising though, there’s a moderate northern wind picking up and eventually there will be a pretty decent mayhem tomorrow, as there are yellow and orange warnings all over Iceland.
This morning we have found a Humpback Whale (Megaptera Novaeangliae) by Hjalteyri, we have seen a good bunch of deep dives as it was heading north and that gave us a pretty accurate estimations on where the whale would come up again. Our RIB boat a.k.a. zodiac also saw a pod of Harbor Porpoises in a similar location.
STAY SAFE: There's a storm coming, it might hail and snow. Keep in mind to stay updated about the road conditions on Road.is and Vedur.is if you are traveling around Iceland.
