Today we had a very windy day, which brought waves with it. But you know the whales don’t really mind the weather, and today was the perfect demonstration of it. Because we had the best tail action we have had in a while. Our humpback whale, Ryder, started performing several tail throws, tail slaps, and inverted tail slaps, which allowed us to discover this humpback is, in fact, a Male one. All of this happened in Skjaldavík, just past town, and initially, we encountered 2 Humpback whales swimming together, Ryder and Elise.
