Whale hello there. Today the clouds cleared away from the fjord and the temperatures rose, and you know what that means… We ended up with a very dramatic landscape covered in fog. Even though today we had to sail further north than on any other day, it was totally worth it! In the South of Hrísey we encountered 8 Humpback whales!!

A sight worth seeing, we had two humpback whales, the smallest in size, randomly surfacing between two groups of three humpback whales. It was a pretty amazing day. Not only that, but in addition to these amazing Humpies, just outside the Fishing Harbour, we also encountered two more Humpback whales, extremely relaxed, on our way back to Akureyri.
