On this last day of the year we decided to go whale watching. the weather was icelandic with a strong northern “breeze” and therefore decent waves. But the sky was clear. We even got to see some polar stratospheric clouds. After some proper hits in the waves, we spotted 2 blows. Once we got closer, it turned out to be 3 Humpback Whales together. Shortly after one of them started head slapping about 8 times give or take. Later on in the same area south of Svalbardseyri, we spotted 3 more Humpback Whales. Since it was rather wavy, it was difficult to get a good look at each tail. But we certainly saw a lot.
