We sailed out from a blue-skied Akureyri into a very smooth, mirror-like fjord. As we slowly travelled in search of some lovely whales, we quickly started spotting some blows N Svalberðseyri. We encountered a Minke whale surfacing steadily. Seeing its blows in the distance due to the cold morning air.

After a while, we sailed in search of something larger… Finding the Humpback whale Piccolo E Hjalteyri. Surfacing everywhere around us, very calmly as we turned off the boat and enjoyed the noise of the whale’s blow. This left us with a sunny day ahead of us.
