We sailed out from a rainy and fogy Akureyri into a very smooth, mirror-like fjord. As we slowly travelled in search of some lovely whales, we quickly started spotting some blows just behind the green buoy.

We were stopped by 2 Humpback whales surfacing everywhere around us. Feeding and surfacing quite close to us. And they were feeding, allowing us to see their pouches fully extended. When they stopped feeding they drifted from each other and we stayed with our lovely “Piccolo”. Despite the rain, we had the most wonderful tour.
