Temperatures are dropping, and we started with a -7 °C morning in the fjord. But as we sailed off the harbour, the sun came out and we had a very cold yet magnificent sunny sky and flat fjord ahead of us.
We made our way slowly towards the north, and S of Hjaltery, we found a whale soup. Of course, they were not all together but spread wide from the green buoy to Hjalteyri. And as unbelievable as it sounds, we had up to 13 Humpback whales around us, maybe even more. But since not all of them wanted to show us the fluck, our most accurate count was 13 individuals. It was indeed a whaletastic day.
