Today we woke up in Akureyri, with the perfect view of a winter wonderland landscape. Snow lazily falling from the sky which gave us a chilly -2 degrees, however, we sailed in to a mirror like fjorð, cloudy yes but with a stunning view.
It wasn’t long untill we started spotting blows in the distance. When we reached the South of Hjalteyri we were completely surounded by at least 11 Humpback whales. And since they were feeding we barely had to wait for them to come back to the surface.
And as amazing a that was on the way back we even saw a small pot of Harbour Porpoises and a slinky Minke whale around the Green buoy.
