Today brought a true taste of autumn on the fjord — cold, clear, and windy from the south, with bright sunshine all day. Out on the water this morning, the swell was large and dramatic, adding extra excitement to our first tour.
We were rewarded with wonderful sightings: around nine humpback whales just north of Hauganes, another humpback and a minke whale in Raudavík, and one more humpback south of Hjalteyri.
On our second tour, conditions calmed slightly, and we had the pleasure of spending extended time with a familiar whale — White Fang, a well-known humpback, just south of Hjalteyri. This magnificent whale surfaced many times close to the boat, providing fantastic views for everyone on board.
