Today’s whale watching tours took place under changing weather conditions — a cold southerly wind dominated, with brief sunshine in the morning before heavy snowfall set in for the afternoon tour.
During the morning departure, we encountered four humpback whales, including Disy, as well as one minke whale in the same area next to Hauganes. Another minke whale was earlier spotted just north of Hjalteyri.
In the afternoon, despite the snowfall, we located one humpback whale south of Hjalteyri, known to us as White Fang.
