The morning started sunny and nice, but the wind picked up as we got further out.

Despite the swell and wind, we managed to spot 2 Minke whales by the green buoy in the morning. And further out, we got some really good encounters with the small and very cute Harbour porpoise. They even seemed to be doing some surfing in the waves. And then, the stars of our show, 2 Humpback whales, South of Hjalteyri. At first, they were feeding in the same area, but eventually split up. One heading south and the other north. We followed the one going south and got some really good encounters with it.

During our afternoon tour, the waves fattened, but the wind was still persistent. But this time, the 2 Minke whales greeted us with some lunge feeding movements right next to the Green buoy. But they decided to disappear shortly after. We made our way to the south of Hrisey once more, where the 2 Humpback whales still were. However, this time they were quite far away from each other, so we spent some of our tour with one and after with the second one.
