Today was beautiful and sunny the mountains were covered with a fresh layer of snow, giving us a spectacular view of the landscape. The sail out was fairly short as the whales began to be spotted only 15 minutes from harbour. In the first 20 minutes we were able to view 2 different humpback whales, one of which came within only a few meters of the boat! A further two whales were also spotted in the distance so it was decided to go and take a closer look at these individuals. Some of our regulars were out to play in the swell including "The Dark Knight", "Daggers" and "King Louis". As the wind picked up we decided to head back but we were all very happy as we got to witness some beautiful humpback whale behaviour including many flukes up only meters from the boat.
