A beautiful snowy scene at the harbour this morning, unfortunately southerly winds brought up the temperature and melted a lot of the snow and rain stayed with us for the whole tour. Not so bad as we traveled north out into the fjord but more unpleasant coming back. Everyone kept warm by wearing the overalls provided and heated inside saloon. We had to venture further out this week, past Hjalteyri and just south of Hauganes we found the humpback whales. We counted six individuals maybe 7 and probably a few more in the distance. We could identify five individuals Porthos, Adam, King Louis, Blowromir and D´Artagnan. Porthos and Blowromir was first cataloged at the end of August so hanging around in the area for at least 3 months. Great to see them once again.
