Windy day today in Eyjafjörður! Winds from the south created quite choppy conditions in our fjord, but that didn’t impact our whale watching! We sailed towards Hjalteyri and, once again, we were lucky to find more than one Humpback whale in the area known as Bakkaálnum. One of the Humpbacks was our Morrigan, whom we’ve been lucky enough to meet over the past few weeks, but the first time it was in our fjord this year was back in April! The other Humpback whale turned out to be White Fang, one of the Humpbacks that spent the winter here and didn’t migrate south.

In the afternoon, it was still quite windy, but eventually the sun came out and the same two Humpback whales were spotted around the same area!

All in all, another great day out on the fjord with some familiar whales!
