Hello everyone! After a rainy day yesterday, today the fjord was completely the opposite. It was sunny for most of the day, and the sea was like a mirror. Perrrfect conditions for whale watching!

On our morning tour, we spotted a Minke whale by the green buoy, surfacing very calmly. We stayed with it for a while and then continued sailing north. We didn’t have to go much further, as we spotted one of our favourite Humpback whales, Dissy, south of Hjalteyri.

While we were spending some time with Dissy, we spotted two other Humpback whales in the distance, so we decided to go and have a look. We found out that these two Humpies were Jasper and Shadow, diving in sync!

In the afternoon, the sea was still like a mirror, with the sun shining and Dissy still south of Hjalteyri. This time, the other two Humpbacks were a bit further north, so we decided to stay with Dissy and enjoy some nice quality time with her.

Then, on our last tour of the day at 17:00, we were super lucky and found two Northern Bottlenose Whales as well! These two individuals have been in the fjord, very close to the harbour, for the last few days. What these deep divers are doing in the fjord is still a mystery, but we all love seeing them!

See you guys tomorrow, and let’s see what the fjord has in store for us!
