Today we sailed out in rough conditions, but the morning rewarded us with some wonderful wildlife. We had the chance to spot a minke whale, and a harbour porpoise appeared right in front of the boat. To top it all off, an amazing humpback whale gave us a spectacular farewell by raising its beautiful fluke high above the water before disappearing into the depths.
In the afternoon, the wind remained strong but we managed to find another minke whale. Although the wind was increasing, we were able to still enjoy the variety of birds feeding around us as well. During the 14:00 classic, when observing a few Humpback whales feeding next to Hrisey, we even had a breach!
