Today we had cloudy skies but a very flat fjord with a small breeze. Our first sighting was 1 Minke whale by Gáseyri. Continuing north we encountered 3 Humpback whales, in the shallow area of Laufasgrunn fluking high, one of them bit more shy fluke but another showed us a very nice one time lounge feed and of course a lot of birds. During the afternoon all was still very calm on the fjord and we sailed north until we found 1 Humpback and 1 Minke feeding in same area of Laufasgrunn, lots of birds as well: kittiwakes, Northern fulmars, skuas, Arctic terns, black & common guillemots, razorbills and few puffins! But we also sppoted a 2nd Humpback a bit further north. On the way back, few Harbour porpoises passed us by and we saw 2 minke whales, of which the 2nd one we first smelled -fishy smell, before we saw it. Great day.
